2012 RNC Convention Organizers Invite American Appreciation Day Group for Private Presentation
RNC representatives invited members of CTAV to do a small, private presentation on their American Appreciation Day project. They were told that RNC organizers would like to videotape the presentation and would also like to view any materials on the project that might be available.
According to the representatives, they plan to circulate the tape along with the printed information among some of their RNC members and decision makers. Evidently, the request was made so that the party wants to review the information to decide whether or not the group's goals are consistent with the current Republican platform.
Should GOP representatives find the group's message and protocols acceptable, the next step would be to vet the group's members. Obviously, if any communists, devil worshipers or serial killers exist on the group - all political parties would want to distance themselves from them.
Once the entire process has been completed, should the party find the group to be acceptable, the party would most likely want to make some changes to the groups message and protocols. Obviously, CTAV board members would have to agree to and adopt the changes immediately. All of this would have to occur within a seemingly impossible timeframe.
Meanwhile, back in the here and now, it's up to the founders of American Appreciation Day to decide whether or not they wish to make the unscheduled trip to Tampa next week and they would have to come up with the financial resources to do so. We shall see.
